    Microsoft Inc., the biggest corporate name in world of computers, organized a two days hands-on workshop on 21st and 22nd January’2013 in Sri Aurobindo Institute Of Technology, Indore. The workshop was attended by both the students and the teachers of the college. The workshop purported to help participants learn how to develop applications for windows mobile phones.Mr. Ramesh Chandak, Senior Program Lead Manager, Microsoft Inc., the expert on the subject, flew down to Indore for the workshop.Mr. J.P. Mallikarjuna and Ms. Uma Narayanan, officials from Microsoft Inc., gave practical knowledge to students on how to develop mobile applications and introduced them to Windows Phone 7 platform. They also provided brief information to students about the Microsoft Windows Phone and the applications which can be run on the phone.

    SAIT organized a two day National Conference on 9-10 October 2012 to promote technical research and to discuss the new technologies on Electronics & Electrical Engineering. In the Opening Ceremony, the conference was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Ex-Chairman of MPEB and renowned electrical engineer, Mr. P.L. Nene.

    Eminent experts and academicians from all over the country including IITs and NITs have participated in the conference to present and discuss the nuances of technical research in Electronics & Electrical Engineering.
    On the first day of conference, Release of Proceedings of the conference is done by Chief Guest, Chairman-SAIMS, Vice President-SAIMS, Group Director-SAIMS, Director-SAIT, HOD-CSE SAIT. Followed by Keynote Speech by Prof. D.P. Kothari and Prof. P.R. Mahapatra andlater-on the presentation of research papers by academicians from around the country.
    On the second day, Keynote Speech by Prof. H.A. Mangalvedekar and Prof. Vivekanand Mishra which den followed by the next session paper presentations and Valedictory session in the end. Best Paper award will be given in Electronics and Electrical fields respectively.

    The week long activities are meant for spreading social awareness among students & staff of SAIT.

    On day one (25.09.12) Lecture was organized on the topic “Save Humanities” by Club Mentor Dr. Anupam Mandloi.

    On Day two (26.09.12) “Shramdaan”- Solid Waste Management Activity were conducted in which Dr. C.K. Jain, Director, SAIT with Student Social Volantees ,  & Faculty members actively performed cleanliness drive at various location of the campus.

    General information about separation & disposal of Solid Waste has been explained to students by Director, SAIT.

    On day three (27.09.12) “Visit to SAIP Lab.”- Cleanliness and Healthcare awareness activity were observed in which students learn about sophistication of Medicine Synthesis & its QA, QC aspects in the Sophisticated Analytical Laboratory at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Pharmacy. Prof. Sunil Dwivedi, SAIP, Indore provided practical demo of various highly sophisticated analytical processes of drugs by HPLC, IR & UV spectrophotometer Instruments. Students got details of USP, IP & BP.

    A “SAW QUIZ” in which 41 students participated was also organized to get the feedback of social awareness among students.

    On day four (28.09.12) closing ceremony of “SAW” Social Awareness Week (from 25.09.12 to 28.09.12) comprises Documentary presentation on “SOCIAL WORK: WORLD SCENARIO” which covers role of Media, environment, Literacy, Sports, Entrepreneurship & Art & Culture to betterment of Society.

    The short documentaries were based on different topics of current trends which affect the world society.

    A two day workshop on “Speed Prototyping User Experience” has started in Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology on 19th July 2012. Mr. Ramesh Chandak has taken up the session yesterday.

    Mr. Chandak is a graduate with a Fellowship in Advanced Engineering from MIT (USA), Master’s in Computer Engineering from Boston University (USA) and Certificate in Human Computer Interaction from IIT Mumbai.  He is trained in Six Sigma Green Belt and PMP.  He has over 20 years of global experience in IT industry.  His strengths are user centered design (UCD) and engineering, program management and evangelism. 

    Mr. Ramesh Chandak is a Senior Lead Program Manager at Microsoft India (R&D) Pvt. Ltd. He manages strategy and outreach programs for Microsoft IT India.  Prior to Microsoft, He worked for GTE Laboratories (now Verizon), Cambridge Technology Partners and Bank of America.  

    During the session on 19th July 2012 at SAIT, he discussed the topics like Cloud Computing, Business Intelligence and Mobile Computing. He encourages the students to build more projects on mobile application and in accordance to the same; they must need to build prototypes in much faster and speedy way to make their presence felt on a global stand.

    Today on 20th July 2012, Mr. Chandak interacts with the students of SAIT and also analyzing their projects through presentation and guides the students to develop their projects in response to meet the need of today’s global market

    He said, e-Authentication is the process of electronic verification of the identity of a user. e-Authentication provides a simple, convenient and secure way for the users to access government services via internet/mobile as well as for the government to assess the authenticity of the users. e-Authentication helps to build up confidence and trust in online transactions and encourages the use of the electronic environment as a channel for service delivery.

    SAIT & SAIM&S run by largest educational group SAIMS inaugurated a three days Techno-Management fest “COGNOISE-2011”.

    On this occasion eminent Management guru Shri N. Raghuraman was invited to give guidance to the students of Management. In his talk he explained the present scenario of business trade and its future prospectus & said that today in every business quality improvement is stressed. He also explained about the psychometric test and informed that good career opportunities lies in every field but it depends on the students interest personality and skills to choose the respective field. Psychometric plays a pivotal role in taking such decision. He said that this step taken by the Aurobindo group is a ladder towards better career for the students. He further informed that 70 new kinds of employment sectors are coming up. It is a good sign for the future of the student’s. He expressed his views by giving many interested examples. He also explained the mode of communication in a very interesting manner. He said that how will you teach a 3 year old child to draw a human face that would interest him. He elaborated this communication in a story that a mother gave two coins and pencil to a child and asked the child to draw the letter “D” but the child incorrectly drew “C” and also marked right. In this way you can teach that child to draw a face. Through this example he tried to explain that your way of communication and dialogue affects your career and business. He gave many such interested examples. Apart from is Institutes of the group, students from different colleges participated too.

  • A workshop is carried out at the campus of SAIT Indore of Total Station and Auto Plotter dated 11/11/2011 and 12/11/2011 by Horizon, Singapore.

    The following activities are performed

    • Setting out a Total Station.
    • Allocation of Station points.
    • Basic co-ordinate formation.
    • Calculation of an area and allocation of co-ordinates.
    • Demonstration of selling out a contour plan by the information obtained from the Total Station.

    A quick demonstration of Auto Plotter was also provided to the students. This will help them in sketching of the values obtained on the site, on the AutoCAD and Auto plotter.

    The workshop carried out will help the students in co-relating the subjects taught in classroom with the site activities. The practical difficulties that will arise in the site, the students get an overview in the workshop.

    This will help in increasing their practical skill performances and they can use their knowledge in the areas of Road works, setting out of plan at the site etc.

    Hence, the students can perform well with the other engineers in competition. The workshop was a good step towards creating a complete Civil Engineer from the campus.

    Civil Engineering students of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology visited the nearby situated Yashwant Sagar Dam. They visited and observed the Radial gates made by the latest technology of construction in the world. Mr. Ashok Shivhare, Engineer at Yashwant Sagar Dam Project guided the students about the construction and functioning of theses Radial Gates. He also told that by the use of these Radial Gates, the efficiency of storage and distribution of water can be increases up to three times. He also educate the students that the expected expenditure on this project was around 33 Crore Rupees which was funded by both State and Central Government.

    The total storage area of Dam is 485 Sq. km. whereas total submerged condition is 7.7 km. To add into this, Mr. Shivhare took the students to visit the distribution stations situated at Gandhinagar and Bada Ganpati in order to brief about the water distribution system into the city. The aim of this technical visit is to make students aware of the modern techniques of construction, to understand not only the theoretical but also the practical approach of construction according to the situation and also to explain water related systems such as water collection, storage, and purification and distribution system.

    Students of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology were taken to the M.P. Wind Farms, Dewas to understand the practical nuances of power generation through Windmill. During this visit, Mr. Bhatia, General Manager of M.P. Wind Farms shares some interesting facts regarding power generation through windmill. He also briefed students about their working, construction and measures to be taken care at the time of installation of these windmills. He also describes the working and how we can generate electricity by the use of the windmills. He said that today we are supplying electricity with capacity of 11KV / 440 Watt, because the construction is done by the old technique. But in the near future, by the use of modern techniques of construction we are able to increase this supply up to the capacity of 33KV / 440Watt. The main aim of this technical visit is to educate the students about the generation of power through windmill, distribution and storage of electricity and to explain the flow of energy and telemetry technique, which in turn helps the students to use these practical knowledge in shaping their bright future.
